CENTRE FOR RURAL SOCIAL RESEARCH

Director: Professor Margaret Alston

The Centre for Rural Social Research (CRSR) is a national leader in research into social issues affecting rural and regional people and communities.

Established in 1989, the CRSR seeks to influence government policy at national, state and regional levels by conducting cutting-edge research through its internationally acknowledged researchers.

Strong links with community, government and business organisations ensure the CRSR remains the first choice for consulting and research into rural social issues.

The CRSR supports over 20 postgraduate students, produces a referred journal 'Rural Society', actively disseminates research findings and stimulates public debate through regular national and international conferences.
