DALE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

The DALE Program started in 1997 for disadvantaged and 'at risk' young people. In 2000 it expanded to include a Young Mothers program.

DALE Christian School is a coeducational special school for Year 7 to 10 students, catering for students with a range of emotional disorders, behavioural disorders and intellectual disabilities. Students in the IM Unit (mild intellectual disability) and Fresh Start (students with medically diagnosed disorders such as ADHD, Asberger's Syndrome, depression,) are separated for most activities. The school places strong emphasis on an individualised, student – centred approach to learning based on Individual Learning Plans and case management.

DALE Young Mothers' Program
This unique program is the first of its kind in NSW to have childcare available onsite.

The two programs run quite separately to each other, although both are housed in the old Waratah Public School site. The DALE Program offers two highly regarded programs for students at risk of not completing their school studies.
