Doncaster Secondary College pursues a vision that ‘all students are active participants in a learning culture, which promotes academic excellence and personal development through a diversity of challenging experiences’.

A wide range of co-curricular activities including sport, instrumental music and the performing arts is available to students. In addition to our extensive Student Leadership Program, the College implements a peer group mentoring program for students in years 7 to 9. The Advanced Learning Program, beginning at Year 7, continues to provide opportunities for high achieving students to learn at a rate and depth more appropriate to their academic strengths, as does the acceleration programs available to students in Year 10 to 12.

To optimise student learning opportunities and experiences, close attention is also given to the provision of up-to-date facilities at Doncaster Secondary College. For many years, an active building program has been pursued to ensure that student learning takes place in pleasant surroundings with modern buildings purpose-built to complement the learning programs.
