FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE, FOOD & NATURAL RESOURCES

The Faculty has a long and proud history in its teaching and research. It offers a diverse range of courses in the sciences and economics related to agricultural production, processing, marketing, and natural resource management.

The combination of applied sciences and applied economics gives the Faculty its special character, and provides an excellent environment to foster essential interactions between these disciplines for teaching, research and technology transfer in food systems and natural resource management.

The Faculty is based on the Camperdown Campus of the University of Sydney, which is situated on the edge of the city's central business district. Research and teaching are also conducted in regional and rural research stations, and on farms owned by the University.

Our students come from rural and urban backgrounds and are attracted by a broad range of interests. The teaching programs recognize the diverse destinations of graduates, and that graduates need good communication skills to be equipped for the workplace. Graduates of the Faculty enjoy high employment rates in wide-ranging occupations and express a high degree of career satisfaction.
