FACULTY OF LAW, UNSW

UNDERGRADUATE

There are two ways to study undergraduate law at Sydney:
Combined Law - Five year program - Arts/Law,
Commerce/Law, Economics/Law, Engineering/Law,

Science/Law.
Graduate Law - Three year program - Requires an
undergraduate degree or relevant tertiary equivalent.

POSTGRADUATE

Coursework - Study postgraduate coursework law
through the prestigious and adaptable Master of Laws
(LLM) or any one of our specialist programs.
Open to Non-Lawyers - some of our postgraduate
programs are open to non-lawyers.

Specialised and Intensive Units of Study -
Our postgraduate units are offered to postgraduate
students only. There are noshared units with
undergraduate students. The Faculty offers over 100 units
of study throughout its postgraduate program. More and
more units of study are now available on an intensive basis
where they are taught over a few days rather than a full
semester.

Single-unit enrolment - We have endeavoured to make
our program as flexible as possible. If there is one unit of
study you are interested in, you can enrol in that unit on a
single unit of study basis. This can then lead to a Graduate
Diploma or Masters Program if you so wish.
RESEARCH

The Faculty offers four primary research programs:

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
Doctor of Juridical Studies (SJD)
Master of Laws (LLM) by Research
Master of Criminology (MCrim)
