FACULTY OF RURAL MANAGEMENT - CHARLES STURT UNIVERSITY

The Faculty of Rural Management, replaces Orange Agricultural College which was established 30 years ago and represents part of the University's ongoing commitment to people living and working in regional areas.

We realise that the world is rapidly changing around us, and agriculture is affected by numerous driving forces: science, economics, politics and ecology. For Australian agriculture and business to continue the tradition of strength and dominance into the next millennium, the managers of our farms, businesses and natural resources must respond effectively to this changing environment.

The Faculty of Rural Management is developing a strong teaching and research focus on sustainability - sustainable businesses, natural resources and communities.

Graduates of the Faculty have the skills and expertise to make effective decisions based on knowledge of organisations, businesses, natural resources and modern communities. Their success mirrors the close relationship that the Faculty and our courses, share with the work place.

Graduates have benefited excellent rates of employment and usually receive higher starting salaries than the national average university graduate starting salaries.
