Kotara High School is a coeducational, high school with strong community support. Established in 1968 we are committed to a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum. This is enhanced by our relationship with two other local high schools, Lambton and Newcastle. In 1998 the three schools combined their resources in the senior school to form the KLN, a network that offers students access to the senior curriculum of the three schools.

At Kotara our goals are underpinned by our school mission statement, which is “to achieve quality education in a safe and caring environment by focussing on excellence and the maximisation of each individual’s potential in a school where the whole school community is supportive and actively contributing to effective and enjoyable teaching and learning”
