'Indigenous Communities Working Together'

The main campus is at Yulara, the tourist village adjacent to Uluru (Ayers Rock), in Central Australia, and we have a home campus at each of the three communities.

The school is co-educational, but run on unique lines. Though it is residential, we only have either the boys or the girls at the main campus at any one time. The students come to the central campus for a month at a time; while the boys are there, the girls are receiving tuition at their home campus, and vice-versa.

This system was developed at the express wish of senior members of the communities, who consider it to be the best way of delivering education to young adults while minimising the risks inherent in their being away from home for long periods of time.
