High school for years 7 - 12

Orara High School is the smallest High School in the Coffs Harbour area and this gives us some advantages in terms of student welfare and meeting the needs of individual students. We are also a PSFP school which has enabled us to maintain small class sizes in Years 7 and 8. Year 7 classes currently average 20 students per class. This has allowed for a greater degree of individual attention and an emphasis on improving the literacy and numeracy of all students.

At Orara we aim to provide a dynamic and caring learning environment where all students can achieve their individual potential. A full range of subjects is available in the academic curriculum from Year 7 – 12. Orara High has made enormous progress in the last few years through the active involvement of the student body, especially through democratically elected student leaders, a very supportive Parents and Citizens Association and a very experienced and committed teaching staff.
