Orienteering is a competitive sport or a relaxing recreational activity for all ages.

You use a detailed map, and a compass, to find your way through the countryside, typically bushland or parkland. The orienteering course involves visiting a number of locations in the bush or park (such as creek junctions, gullies, boulders etc.) in the correct order.

To complete an orienteering course may take as little as 20 minutes for a short easy course, or up to 90 minutes for a longer, difficult course.
