SCHOOL OF FINE ART

The School of Fine Art has a policy of active engagement in the

community and a commitment to cultural change through arts research

and practice in the creative arts. The staff and students of the school

consistently exhibit in commercial and alternative venues and play a

major role in Newcastle's public art program throughout the city. As a

postgraduate student here you will find yourself part of this flourishing

and innovative academic community, students are encouraged to

experiment and to develop excellence across a broad range of

disciplines. We are strongly committed to maintaining a stimulating and

encouraging ethos for postgraduate students, visiting scholars, guest

lecturers and the postgraduate seminar program provide a focus for

debate and critical thinking.
