Whittlesea Secondary College is situated in the northern metropolitan area of Melbourne about 50kms from the GPO. Our main aim is to foster in students, qualities that enables them to enter an ever-changing world with an adaptive and positive outlook on life, high self esteem and a sense of civic responsibility.
The College offers a broad curriculum taken from both the former streams of technical and high school curriculum. A broad core curriculum is taught in Years 7-8, while at Years 9-10 a range of electives is offered. The Middle School and VCE blocks are aligned to allow Year 10 students to choose Unit 1 and 2 VET courses. Increasing numbers are choosing the option of completing Year 11 studies in Year 10. Academic students are offered the opportunity to undertake Enhancement Studies at a university while in Year 12. A College Council President’s Award is available to assist one or two students with university costs.

The College is a caring, energetic school catering for individual needs through extension and remedial programs. The College also provides mentoring and leadership programs particularly between junior and senior students.
