We have had some exciting new developments happening for the education portal over the years, and here we are well into 2009 and busier than ever, delivering our service to education in Australia.

Our Send An Enquiry feature has continued to work overtime in 2008, in directing many enrolment enquiries thru to our education clients & facilities all over Australia. Review of Online Curriculum Resources
The Department has invited tenders for a review of online curriculum resources. As part of the Digital Education Revolution, the Australian Government has committed $32.6 million over two years to supply students and teachers across Australia with online curriculum tools and resources. The objective is to provide compelling education content and the tools for making this content usable and readily available to teachers and learners regardless of their location. These tools and resources will build on work done through existing initiatives such as The Learning Federation and be aligned with the national curriculum that will be developed by 2010. Further information on the initiative can be found at http://www.thelearningfederation.edu.au/default.asp. Tenders for the review must be lodged through AusTender by 23 January and the report for a review of online curriculum resources will be completed by 30 April 2009.

Vocational Education in the Spotlight 

Vocational Education in Schools

Vocational Education and Training in Schools are programmes undertaken by school students as part of the senior secondary certificate that provide credit towards a nationally recognised VET qualification within the Australian Qualifications Framework. The training that students receive reflects specific industry competency standards and is delivered by a Registered Training Organisation or a school in partnership with a Registered Training Organisation.
 
Trade Training Centres in Schools Program
The Trade Training Centres in Schools Program is an important element of the Commonwealth Government's Education Revolution. It will provide $2.5 billion over 10 years to enable all secondary schools to apply for funding of between $500,000 and $1.5 million for Trade Training Centres.
