Country Campus, City Advantages

Set in parkland grounds the wide curriculum choices and extra curricular activities make for a stimulating education. Our students enjoy specialist facilities, including the NEGS Multi-Purpose Centre, numerous sporting opportunities, well-equipped laboratories, resource centre all on a magnificent 50 hectare campus.

The Boarding Specialists

Boarding at NEGS is a life experience and it is our aim that each student is happy, safe and secure in residence. We offer flexible boarding options that provide considerable academic benefits, opportunities for independence and personal responsibility. With room for 200 boarders, NEGS is a home-away-from-home for students from all over Australia and the world.

Equestrian Offering riding height at NEGS

With a new national-standard indoor equestrian arena on her doorstep, it is no wonder that Anna Moxham has represented her State twice this year in national horseriding titles.

When Anna, came to board at New England Girls’ School from Binnaway in the state’s Central West, she brought with her a friend - her trusty grey gelding Gus.

The school’s Equestrian prefect for 2012, Anna has two lessons a week in dressage and showjumping – all just part of the broad curriculum offered at NEGS, where she is also involved in various musical ensembles.

“Having the chance to be able to go to boarding school with your horse is like taking a piece of home with you to school. We are very lucky to have such professional instructors that are willing to help, be it horse, or school, related,” she said.

This year Anna and fellow student Meagan Nolan were selected to represent NSW at the Equestrian Australia National Interschool Championships at Werribee, Victoria. The pair are among more than 110 girls who take lessons at NEGS, where the latest equestrian facilities include an 80m indoor arena and stable complex.
