Sylvania High School is situated in spacious, leafy grounds with diverse sporting facilities. Sylvania High School has a proud tradition of excellence in education. A broad curriculum caters for the diverse needs of students with Visual Arts, Drama and Dance offered as Higher School Certificate subjects.

Academic rigour is a high priority, as is the extension of all students to achieve personal excellence. Student success is celebrated in a positive climate designed to raise self-esteem and support the aspirations of the school community. A vital and publicly acknowledged Performing Arts Program, focusing on the school concert and stage bands, drama and dance encourages and supports the imagination and creativity of our students.

The school is committed to a planned and integrated Student Welfare Program focusing on the individual needs of each child in a nurturing and supportive small school context. A democratically elected Student Council provides a forum for student concerns and ideas to be integrated into whole school planning.
