East Sydney High School is a small, community-based independent school which caters for students who have experienced difficulty in mainstream education for a variety of reasons.

We offer a full NSW School Certificate course for Years 9 and 10. However, much of our focus is on meeting basic needs such as accommodation, welfare, health and well-being, without which there can be little engagement in education.

Upon enrolment, each student is allocated a "Buddy" or key worker on the Staff Team whose role is to assist engagement, give feedback on progress, liaise with relevant agencies and address the health and welfare needs of the student.
