HAMILTON PUBLIC SCHOOL
Children of the World
Principal - Mr David Jack
Public school for years K - 6
Hamilton Public School has been a part of the official schooling system since 1858, although a school was operating on the site for some time before that. It was known as 'the school at Pit Town' school until 1872, when the area was renamed 'Hamilton'.
Hamilton Public School today is a happy, vibrant community. Our students come from a diverse range of backgrounds, making Hamilton Public School one of the most multicultural schools in the Hunter region. The school actively encourages the use of technology in the classroom. Each classroom has at least two computers which students use for desktop publishing, word-processing and information gathering.
