Scots College was founded in 1916 as an independent school to provide the best education possible. Throughout the years, that aim has evolved to embody the education of the whole person - academically, culturally, physically, socially and spiritually, an aim based on the College motto.
Scots College comprises two schools, the Preparatory School (for boys in Years 1-8, approximately 5 years to 12 years) and the Secondary School (for boys in Years 9-13, approximately 13 years to 18 years).
Essentially, the secondary and preparatory schools work independently of each other, although there are occasions when they are a unit such as for Chapel Services at the start of each term. Preparatory and secondary school teachers share a single staff room, providing continuity in the awareness of a boy’s individual needs.
The College is a friendly forward thinking independent school.
