AUSTRALIAN CENTRE FOR HEALTH PROMOTION

The Australian Centre for Health Promotion aims to contribute to better

population health outcomes by working with practitioners to improve the

quality of health policy and the effectiveness of health promotion practice

through the application of research. The Centre was established in 1994.

It has been a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre in Health

Promotion Practice since 1995, and plays a key role in South West Pacific

Region of the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE).

The Centre's activities are divided into four main areas: Leadership and

Professional Development, International Health, Research Development,

Policy Review and Development.
