In response to a high demand for vocational education in the region and in consultation with community representatives, Charles Sturt University currently offers a range of courses that have places specifically reserved for Dubbo students or which are only offered in Dubbo. They include:

Dubbo Campus has 8 cottages (62 rooms) available as student residential accommodation. Cottages are fully self-contained and furnished with each room having access to telephone, voicemail and data point facilities. A Residential Manager is employed and housed on the site along with a student Residential Adviser.

CSU's modern campus at Dubbo uses the latest in communication technology to provide regional Australia with access to quality higher education. The Interactive Learning Centre received the NSW branch Royal Australian Institute of Architects prize in 2002 for its environmental design, which integrates innovative design features such as evaporative towers to provide cooling in Dubbo's hot summers.
