Gymea Technology High School is a co-educational, comprehensive high school, with a specific focus on the teaching of technology. It is situated in the approximate geographical centre of the Sutherland Shire in southern Sydney. The school is set in spacious and picturesque surroundings which enhances the positive and safe learning and social environment of the school. The school is well served by public transport, with regular bus services to most areas and a train station just minutes walk away.

The school has a tradition of high academic achievement in both the School Certificate and Higher School Certificate. Over the past few years a number of students have achieved UAI’s in the high 90’s. In 2003, our top student, competing against students state-wide, was awarded a prestigious and lucrative scholarship through the University of Technology Sydney. Other students performed exceptionally well with over 80% gaining their first choice option in tertiary study.
